    Linda Howard has been one of my favourite writers for years. It's good to see her back to her usual high form with [JG62], a wonderful romp. NB: we've just been told this has been delayed, and while we can order it now, it won't be released untl August 31, 2010.
    Nora Roberts' [JG507] is a wonderful adventure with rescue dogs and a serial killer. Roberts is always readable, and this is a Top Pick!
    Nalini Singh is an awesome writer who is just getting better. [JG98] is her new Psy-Changeling story, which is a fabulous book. It's in the shop now. Characters you love, amazing places and strong, different adventures. An all-time favourite read. Top Pick!
    Stephanie Laurens is an awesome writer, a wonderful person and a fabulous speaker. She'll be in New Zealand this August. Come along to our conference in August (details on the Noticeboard page) to meet her. (Nalini Singh will be there too.) [JG120] is third in her Cobra Quartet, and a compelling, passionate story. Top Pick!
    Eileen Dreyer's on my keeper shelf with her strong, gripping modern romances. [JG119] is her first historical and a fabulous read. First in a series filled with wit, humour and a powerful story, I can't wait for the next book. Top Pick!
    Claudia Dain's Regencies are fun, outrageous and unforgettable. In [JG122] an American Miss wanting adventure tangles with an English duke. Top Pick!
    Tessa Dare grabs you by the heart and takes you on an unforgettable ride in [JG139]. This final Stud Club story is fresh, gripping and very well written.
    Susan Brockmann, best known for her SEAL adventures, has [JG74], a fresh modern romance with a sexy man trying to clear his grandfather's name. This looks like excellent fun.
Pamela Morsi isn't everybody's favourite, but she's one of mine. Her fabulous characters and the way she brings her books to life make me collect all her books. [JG60] has great fun as Andrea leaves big business and reopens her father's car wash, scandalising the town.
    Annette Blair's Vintage series isn't precisely romance. In fact it's listed as mystery, but the characters are so good, and the relationships so strong you can't help but enjoy them no matter what you read. [JG44] has murder, great clothes, some psychic sleuthing and a lot of fun.
    Victoria Laurie is a practising psychic and her books are always interesting. [JG48] has a psychic heroine trying to work with a sceptical FBI. This is a really readable series.
    Shelley Laurenson is always strong, sexy and fun to read. [JG12] has a determined shapeshifter in New York. Bo is nobody's pushover, not even a bears. Top Pick!
    Laura Griffin [JG95] has good story, tight suspense and a very sexy hero. A strong addition to the romantic suspense line-up.
    Iris Johansen and her son Roy Johansen are a great combination. Iris creates wonderful, vibrant people, while Roy adds interest and depth to plot. [JG85] is an interesting, fast moving adventure. Top Pick! Also see their new hardcover; [JG509], with a fresh new adventure. Another Top Pick!
    Other Romance titles

    Christina Dodd puts another couple through the wringer in [JG99], a new Chosen story. These are good reads.
    Meljean Brook sizzles with strong men, great stories and unforgettable life. [JG105] has a vampire helped by a woman who was raised by demons. This is fine to read as a stand alone story, but the whole series is excellent and worth collecting.
    Nancy Gideon has shapechangers, police and danger in this Moonlight series. I liked the first one and [JG100] looks even better.
    Gena Showalter [JG104] has fun with this new Lords of the Underworld. Gideon can't tell the truth without horrendous pain. A good series.

    Other Paranormal titles



    Susan Mallery [JG57] an intense, emotional read. Excellent characters.
    J.R. Ward first started writing modern novels under the name Jessica Bird. [JG58] goes back to those times. Very well written romance.
    Robyn Carr has built a massive following for her Virgin River series. [JG73] and [JG88] are filled with humour and 'recognisable' people.
    Diana Palmer [JG504] has a new Texan story in hardcover.
    Victoria Dahl is best known for her historical romances, and I look forward to seeing her trademark humour and pizzazz in [JG63], which is a fun, new, modern romance.
    Susan Sey is a new writer. [JG81] has humour, danger and romance, a winning combination. It also has one of the best heroes I've read. A truly excellent read.


    Sharon Sala [JG61] begins a gritty new suspense. [JG92], the second in the series, is due later in the month. I always like Sala, though she's definitely darker than she was.
    Maggie Shayne [JG76] begins a new suspense series, filled with vibrant characters and a truly scary villain. I really enjoyed this book.
    Catherine Coulter [JG77] is an FBI in paperback. Each is an excellent stand alone story. I've been following these for years and still enjoy them.
    Shiloh Walker has been writing erotic romance for years, and has finally moved to mainstream with [JG80] a romantic adventure with a psychic heroine. Yummy.
    Leslie Parrish [JG101] begins a new series about a detective agency with psychics. This is a great read for all fans of Kay Hooper.


    Cynthia Eden writes sexy, captivating erotic adventures. [JG23]
    Kate Douglas [JG34] is a Wolf Tale, sexy fast moving and powerful.


    Sally MacKenzie [JG132] is filled with love and laughter, making it another delightful read from a Regency favourite.
    Patricia Rice [JG142] begins a new series. I love the way she writes, with humour and compassion, while still staying fresh and interesting.


    Hannah Howell [JG125] adds a touch of psychic to this first class English adventure.
    Jane Feather tells is like it is in this gritty new English series. [JG135] has three aristocratic brothers forced to find far-from-aristocratic brides.


    Sherrilyn Kenyon is hugely popular. [JG110] has three of her earlier novellas reissued in one volume. A great way to get the Kenyon's together on your bookshelf.
    Laurell K. Hamilton [JG106] a paperback release of the last Meredith Gentry story. It's very good. Though it doesn't advance the world much, spending time with Merry and her fabulous men is always worth doing.
    Meagan Hatfield [JG113] is the first in a new series about dragon shapeshifters. Sounds darn good to me.
    Carrie Vaughn [JG517] is a new story with magical artefacts and a comic writer discovering her father isn't the man she thought he was.
    Kathryne Kennedy, who created the Relics of Merlin series, writes wonderful historical fantasy. [JG107] Dominic is half-elven. His father, the ruling elven Lord is quite mad, and cruel with it. Somehow Dominic must conquer England, cope with an unwilling wife, depose his father, and stay alive. Not simple. But extremely readable. Excellent.

 - Money certainly changes Jenner Redwin's life when she wins a lottery. It also costs her plenty. Seven years later she's rubbing elbows with the rich, despite the fact she still feels like a party crasher.
